About the Role

Participate in the accurate and timely collection, preparation, and processing of a weekly payroll in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures for exempt and non-exempt employees.
Perform payroll processing quality assurance reviews prior to processing, including reviewing all batch records.
Collect required data including final hours, special payments, PTO payout, severance, etc.
Audit Pre-Check reports and provide changes as needed on import template and approve Final Pre-Check reports.
Provide guidance, training, and support to all employees, including new hires, on timecard management, provide additional training to managers on timecard approvals.
Responsible for ensuring all appropriate withholdings are applied to an employee's pay.
Partner with the accounting team on improving the company's payroll control by suggesting and implementing new audits and data control processes.
Assist in HR projects from a payroll and benefits perspective such as new account start-ups, merger and acquisition events.

Requirements

  • Practical experience in this or a similar role

  • Excellent skills with Google Workspace

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.

  • Ability to be self-direct and self-motivated, adhering to all required deadlines.

  • Professional and friendly demeanor
